flash - How do I play just a specific section of a video in a web page? -

it there way of displaying videos on website allow me show clip of video without physically slicing file actual clips?

edit: specifically, i'd play clips using open source flash player. make specific clips, time consuming , maintenance nightmare.

second edit: youtube won't work because important able control views these videos. also, web application running off of classic lamp stack.
