iphone - How do i add a main menu before accessing a UITableView? -

i have built application revolves around uitableview, core data , xml. app complete want add main menu before accessing tableview. main menu allow navigate table , other functions. easiest way go doing this? i'm confused how change inital file loaded.

one suggestion add navigation controller , new view serve 'main' view , show menu. in response 'menu' choices push existing table view or other views might want show.
